SKP built out the social component for Block Party LA, based on their social values and cultivated a nonprofit strategic partnership with Children’s Defense Fund California (CDFC). In which, a percentage of the proceeds of ticket sales went towards Children’s Defense Fund Beat The Odds scholarship program. In addition, SKP helped procure Block Party LA headliner Talib Kweli as a nonprofit ambassador for Children’s Defense Fund. Talib Kweli conducted a round table discussion with the students from the Beat The Odds scholarship program in conjunction with Black Lives Matter. Having been impressed with CDF and their work Talib Kwali has come on board as an ally for Children’s Defense Fund.
